Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How the site is built

Plain pages that work without JavaScript, apart from the spam check on the enquiry form.
A link to skip straight to the main content, and a clear outline on whatever has keyboard focus.
Text and background colours chosen for a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1.
Text that can be enlarged, and pages that fit a narrow phone screen without scrolling sideways.
Form fields with visible labels, and errors explained in words next to the field.
One short movement when the home page opens, in the drawing of the fence. If your device asks for reduced motion, it does not move at all, and smooth scrolling is turned off.
The drawings have text descriptions, and the parts of a fence are also listed in words.

What was checked, and how

Automated checks on every page each time the site is built: page language, page titles, one main heading per page, labels on every form field and text alternatives on every image.
[to confirm: keyboard-only check of every page, and the date]
[to confirm: screen reader check, which reader and browser, and the date]
[to confirm: zoom to 400 percent and a 320 pixel wide screen, and the date]

The site was last checked on [to confirm: date of the last full check].

Known gaps

The spam check on the enquiry form is provided by Cloudflare and needs JavaScript. If it does not work for you, please phone or email instead.
[to confirm: any other known gaps, or remove this line]
